ITMS Co-ordinator @ British Red Cross
I am currently Service Co-ordinator for the International Tracing and Messaging (Restoring Family Links) service at the British Red Cross.
I am also a trainee Youth and Community Worker with a breadth of experience working on international projects supporting children and young people. I have a strong interest in psychosocial interventions for children and young people and strongly advocate for the significance of addressing emotional needs.
I have designed and launched a successful vocational skills course for disadvantaged young people in partnership with Samalani Community Centre in Lilongwe. I have worked as Project Officer for the Moroccan Children's Trust, developing and evaluating programmes targeting street-connected children and their families in southern Morocco.
I have also undertaken independent research on psychosocial programmes for children with learning disabilities, OVCs and girls in Malawi. I worked in conjunction with mental and community health professionals, government officials, NGOs and members of the local community.
