Latin America 5 months, 1 week ago Hi there! I am currently working as an assistant psychologist and want to do some PSYCHOLOGICAL VOLUNTEERING in latin america in the next few months. Does anyone have any information about organisations/charities in latin america whom I could contact and who allow volunteers to workk in projects offering psychological support etc…I WOULD BE SO GRATEFUL FOR ANY INFORMATION ANYBODY HAS! x

Hi Sabrinda! Which country are you planning to go to? I am working as a psychologist in Peru, so I know some organizations who accept volunteers. How much time will you stay?

I am mostly working with children and adolescents and it is a little bit a difficult issue I think. There are some organisations who really depend on volunteers for their activities. The problem is that volunteers come and go, which of course is not very healthy for te children. On the other hand, the organisations that do have a volunteer policy are not that easy to start in. But as I said, I think there are a lot of opportunities, depending on what you want. If you’re still interested, let me know and I can help you!

Hi Liesbet! Thankyou so much for your reply. I would like to go to Peru, or Mexico, or costa rica. I am looking to volunteer for 2-3 months but I am flexible with how long I can do. I would really appreciate any advice you can give me or organisation who are looking for volunteers with a psychology background! thankyou!

Hola Miryam. he estudio espanol hace seis anos. Tambien soy licenciada en psicología. Prefiero trabajar en Lima o en otras ciudades, en place del campo. Hay muchas temas que me interesa..estoy buscando para trabajo voluntario donde me puedo usar mi conocimiento psicológico. por lo tanto en conflicto armado, desastres, con las personas vulnerables o con adicciones, etc. Conoces algunas opportunidades para mi??
