In an effort to improve coordination and service delivery to the Libyan community affected by the conflict, International Medical Corps Mental Health/ Psychosocial (MHPSS) team would like to invite representatives from Benghazi and eastern Libya to participate in a MHPSS Coordination Workshop next week. The purpose of this meeting will be to gather information from actors providing psychosocial support, and discuss the primary mental health issues that have been observed.

    Date: September 11, 2011
    Time: 12:00pm- 1:30pm
Location: Ministry of Health (front building, where Cluster meetings are held)
*The meeting will be conducted in English and Arabic

Topics to be discussed are as follows:
    1. Response to the mental health needs of the communities in Libya: 4 W’s mapping (Who is doing what, where, and when?)
    2. Major gaps, needs that actors are observing
    3. Potential coordination between actors (NGO’s, local organizations, psychiatric hospital, volunteers, etc.)
    4. Brief introduction, and distribution of the MHPSS IASC guidelines
Please inform our team if representatives from your staff can attend, their names, and contact information. If you are unable to join us, please see the attached 4W’s mapping, and add/edit your organization’s information. Following the workshop, this information will be shared with all participants.
