"The Inter-agency Guidelines for Case Management and Child Protection have been developed at an inter-agency level through the Child Protection Working Group to complement the agreed standard 15 on Case Management in the Minimum Standards for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action. They aim to provide a common understanding and step-by-step guidance on how to do case management in emergencies.

The primary focus of these guidelines is for use by agencies and practitioners in humanitarian settings. However, these guidelines can also be a useful resource for governments and agencies working in more stable or development situations. Likewise, these guidelines can be helpful additional guidance in refugee situations, but practices would need to take into account broader refugee case management including the specific Best Interest Procedure. The associated Child Protection Case Management Training Manual for Caseworkers, Supervisors and Managers is based upon and provides guidance for conducting training on these Guidelines.Included in the zip file is the facilitator’s guide/manual, PowerPoints, and Handouts.
